Wedding Officiants Take Bathroom Selfies Too

I don’t always take bathroom selfies… but when I’m in a tuxedo and the bathroom is filled with geometric patterns…I become basic.

I’ve been leading weddings and funerals for over a decade. Both events are pivotal moments in life and it is an honor to guide a family or community through these times. I believe that the amount of time and thought put into these sacred moments and life has a direct impact on their meaning: little time/though equals little significance…much time/thought equals great significance.

Meaning making is a communal process and in the moments that I am able to serve as a guide, I take my role very serious. Unless there’s a cool bathroom. Then I take selfies.
